Trying to get the perfect shot of an athlete on a football field or in a tunnel is not easy, especially if you have 15 athletes that you are working with in one session. Having the ability to shoot in a studio with 2 or 3 lights and add a background is ideal. You an also use these for candid shots with athletes in action, so they offer a ton of flexibility.
